Automotive Service Manager - Large Volume Dealership We are seeking an experienced, aggressive, and performance-driven Automotive Service Manager to lead a large 30+ bay dealership service operation . This is not a position for someone looking to simply maintain a department. We are looking for a hands-on leader who knows how to PUSH a service department forward — increasing RO count, improving technician productivity, driving customer-pay business, maximizing warranty opportunities, and holding the entire team accountable to performance standards. OEM dealership experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operation of a 30+ bay service department Drive RO count, labor sales, gross profit, and overall department profitability Maximize shop capacity and keep bays productive Monitor and improve technician productivity, efficiency, and hours per RO Push advisors to properly present maintenance and recommended repairs Grow customer-pay, warranty, and internal service business Recruit, train, develop, and retain technicians and service advisors Establish clear daily and monthly goals and hold the team accountable Monitor declined services and ensure proper follow-up Maintain strong appointment flow and shop scheduling Work closely with the Parts Department to improve efficiency and profitability Maintain high CSI while still driving production and sales Review department financials and control expenses Ensure OEM processes, warranty requirements, and dealership procedures are followed Be visible in the drive and shop — this is a hands-on management position What We're Looking For Proven dealership Service Manager experience required Experience managing a large, high-volume service operation strongly preferred OEM brand experience preferred Strong understanding of dealership service financials and KPIs Ability to manage a large technician and advisor team Strong recruiting and employee-development skills Excellent understanding of warranty, customer-pay, and internal operations Ability to identify problems quickly and take action Competitive, organized, and highly accountable Comfortable setting aggressive goals and pushing the team to achieve them Strong leadership presence and communication skills The Right Candidate We want someone who walks into the department every morning asking: How do we write more ROs?
