Description:
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Director of Maintenance. The Director of Maintenance is to provide staff support to Branch and Service Managers in their efforts to control and reduce operating expense of our fleet and increase profit on labor and parts sales. Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities of each service department. Assists the President, Branch Managers and Service Managers in appraising the activities, results, and performance against objectives of each Service Department and recommends corrective action, when applicable. Ensures that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied in each Service Department, by reviewing operating plans, programs, maintenance expenses, and equipment condition. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with major vendors, parts suppliers and PACCAR Leasing Corporation. Assists line management in formulating annual and monthly Service Department sale/profit objectives and expense budgets in accordance with company objectives. Develops, for approval, merchandising strategies to ensure that objectives are obtained. Assists in maintaining positive customer relations. Coordinates and negotiates group purchases. Recommends equipment specifications and approve all final equipment orders. Develops and coordinates training for Technicians & Service Managers. Reviews staffing levels at all service locations, make recommendations for changes as needed. Develops procedures to assure the most work is accomplished by the fewest people. Assists managers in creating action plans to correct performance. Calls on major accounts. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of the industry. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Management experience.
