A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner in the Vanceburg area. A maintenance planner organizes and prepares repair and preventive work, so technicians have the correct parts, tools, and instructions to service equipment safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Work Order Preparation Build detailed job packages, define scopes of work, and estimate task durations using a Computerized Maintenance management System Inventory & Resource Management Order spare parts, coordinate with vendors, and align stockroom supplies with upcoming maintenance needs. Schedule Coordination Plan routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while balancing production goals to minimize equipment downtime. Safety & Compliance Ensure all maintenance tasks follow safety protocols like lockout/tagout and job safety analyses. Continuous Improvement Track metrics like wrench time, work order backlogs, and equipment history to spot repeating failures.
REQUIRED
Skills & Qualifications Technical Knowledge Understanding of industrial equipment, machinery parts, and maintenance workflows. Software Proficiency Experience using CMMS or asset management platforms. STRONG computer skills Communication Strong social and negotiation skills to bridge the gap between plant operators, maintenance crews, and production managers. Organization Ability to handle multiple work orders, parts lists, and schedules at the same time. Schedule Monday - Friday; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, OT as needed Pay $25-28/hour depending on experience
