Maintenance Manager Big Easy Foods | Lake Charles, Louisiana Big Easy Foods is a growing national food manufacturer seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and reliability of our Lake Charles production facility. As we continue to expand and invest in new equipment and facilities, this position will play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and developing our maintenance program for the future. What You'll Do Lead preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for food production and packaging equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, and automated controls. Oversee maintenance of refrigeration/freezer systems, boilers, plumbing, and facility equipment. Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime. Maintain PM schedules, repair records, spare-parts inventory, and maintenance supplies. Coordinate and oversee contractors and specialized repairs as needed. Assist with installation and startup of new equipment and facility improvements. Work closely with Production and Quality to ensure maintenance activities meet food safety, GMP, SQF, sanitation, and workplace-safety requirements. Lead and support the maintenance team while identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. What We're Looking For Strong industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience. Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and read electrical schematics. Prior maintenance leadership experience. Working knowledge of motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic systems, and industrial controls. Ability to diagnose problems, prioritize repairs, and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Electrical certification or related technical certification is a plus.
