RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Reliability Establish maintenance priorities based on equipment criticality and production needs. Monitor equipment performance and recommend predictive maintenance practices whenever possible and establish a predictability program (PP). Continuously improve equipment reliability while reducing emergency repairs and downtime. Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the facility's Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program. Schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize production interruptions. Ensure all PMs are completed on time and documented accurately. Analyze equipment failures to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions. Maintenance Operations Supervise, coach, schedule, and prioritize the daily activities of all Maintenance Technicians. Assign work orders, monitor completion and quality of work. Assist technicians with troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Maintain production equipment including:
Fryers Conveyors Packaging equipment Mixers Compressors Boilers Pumps Pneumatic systems Hydraulic systems Steam systems Facility utilities Coordinate repairs during scheduled downtime whenever possible. Respond to equipment emergencies when necessary. Improve electric systems regarding components. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance Ensure maintenance activities comply with: GMPs SQF requirements OSHA regulations Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Food Safety standards Ensure equipment repairs are completed in a sanitary manner. Support QA during inspections and audits. Assist with fryer inspections, fryer boil-outs, and sanitation support. Maintain an audit-ready maintenance department. Planning & Documentation Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. Track PM completion rates. Monitor equipment downtime.
Maintain maintenance KPIs including:
Downtime Preventive Maintenance Compliance Emergency Repairs Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance reports for the Director of Manufacturing and Plant Operations. Recommend equipment upgrades and replacement schedules. Inventory & Purchasing Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies. Establish minimum and maximum inventory levels for critical spare parts. Coordinate purchasing of maintenance materials. Work with vendors to obtain quotes, repairs, and technical support. Leadership Supervise, mentor, and develop all Maintenance Technicians.
Conduct training on:

Promote accountability and teamwork. Conduct employee performance evaluations. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency. Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Recommend capital improvement projects. Support installation and commissioning of new equipment. Work collaboratively with Production to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Safety Promote a safe work environment. Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations. Conduct routine safety inspections. Participate in accident investigations when necessary. Ensure proper use of
PPE. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of:
Mechanical systems Electrical systems Pneumatics Hydraulics Steam systems Boilers Refrigeration Packaging equipment Experience with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS preferred). Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Experience troubleshooting production equipment. Working knowledge of SQF, GMPs, OSHA, and Food Safety regulations. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
