Job Overview We are looking for a proactive and experienced Service Manager to lead our automotive service department. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, ensure top-notch customer satisfaction, and drive the success of our service team. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive repair and has a knack for managing people, processes, and client relationships. Duties Manage the overall operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and quality control. Manage the oversight of the parts department. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of service technicians and advisors to deliver excellent customer service. Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, and air brake systems. Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates and ensure proper service writing. Upsell additional services or repairs by identifying customer needs while maintaining transparency and trust. Handle client communication effectively to explain repairs, costs, and timelines clearly. Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Manage cash handling procedures and oversee parts inventory to optimize profitability. Qualifications Proven experience in auto service management or dealership settings with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Hands-on mechanic experience combined with knowledge of automotive repair procedures such as collision repair, auto body repair, oil changes, brake systems, suspension components, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, and air brakes. Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Sales experience with upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities. Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including transmissions and suspension components. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in service writing and cash handling procedures. $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
