We are a food manufacturer that is currently seeking an experienced manager for our growing production plant. The Facilities Supervisor oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning and performing maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in mechanical maintenance, exhibits high multitasking and organizational abilities, and is able to jump right into a manufacturing plant.

Objectives for this role include:

Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as production floor, offices, conference rooms, and parking lots Performing routine maintenance on facilities and equipment and making repairs as needed Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions Collaborating with building owners and management on budgeting for facilities needs Skills and qualifications: Advanced mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks Ability to troubleshoot and address the root causes of issues Excellent time management and multitasking skills Great leadership and problem-solving skills Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, or equivalent, preferred Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets Excellent verbal and written communication skills Contract handling experience Strong attention to detail
