Qualifications :

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid Driver's License and clear MVR 7 years+ experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive and transit equipment 3 years+ of supervisory experience A broad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy-duty transportation vehicles Familiarity with laws & regulations associated with the safe operation of maintenance facilities Proficient with Microsoft Office Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Key Responsibilities:

Hire, train, and schedule Maintenance Technicians Approve priority of maintenance and repairs based on availability of materials and parts and requirements of scheduled operations. Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors Ensure company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently Manage inventory Implement safety policies and procedures for the department per corporate requirements Participate in the development and administration of the operational budget. Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods Oversee preventive maintenance and repair programs for paratransit vehicles. Ensure all vehicles meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards. Monitor vehicle condition, reliability, and service availability. Coordinate inspections, warranty repairs, and vendor services. Implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with FTA, DOT, OSHA, ADA, environmental, and local regulatory requirements. Conduct safety audits and inspections. Investigate vehicle incidents and maintenance-related failures. Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records. Develop and manage maintenance operating and capital budgets. Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities. Oversee inventory control and procurement of parts, tools, and equipment. Support fleet replacement planning and asset lifecycle management. Coordinate closely with operations and dispatch teams to maintain service levels. Analyze maintenance performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Implement corrective actions to improve fleet reliability and efficiency. Manage vendor relationships and service contracts. Other duties as required. Travel requirement outside of immediate area:
