RELIABILITY SPECIALIST JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for analyzing, developing, and improving operational and maintenance processes to improve safety, efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall system performance. This role works cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, engineering, and leadership to drive plant reliability, continuous improvement initiatives and ensure sustainable results. Essential Functions Has knowledge all aspects of the plant's maintenance functions. Has a comprehensive understanding of refrigeration systems. Capable of overseeing high-level troubleshooting of refrigeration systems and can manage complex maintenance and PM procedures. Support plants as requested for maintenance leadership, decisions, and after-hours support as needed. Remote and onsite support to help in troubleshooting equipment problems as needed). Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and manuals. Comprehensive understanding of PLC/basic controls. Contractor coordination and oversight as needed for projects. Analyze current workflows, production processes, and system performance. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste. Develop and implement process improvements to increase throughput and equipment reliability. Standardize best practices across operations. Support reliability initiatives by collecting and analyze operational data (downtime, MTBF, cycle time, yield, etc.). Use data to drive decision-making and justify improvements. Lead project teams and improvement initiatives. Lead and/or participate in Kaizen events to support Green Belt initiatives. Implement and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions. Drive cost reduction and efficiency projects. Support reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) efforts. Partner with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams. Facilitate communication between departments to align improvement efforts. Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, PSM, FSSC and company policies. Participate in risk assessments and hazard analyses. Eligible for future promotion to Plant Manager, Regional Manager, Regional Maintenance and Reliability Manager. Required for All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Associate's Degree Engineering or Industrial Technology Preferred Work Experience 1-2 years Industrial Refrigeration is Required 4-6 Years Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing environment is Required 4-6 Years Engineering, Supervisor, or Management is Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Adobe, Outlook, Webex, CMMS. Green Belt Training. Good math, reading and writing skills to properly monitor equipment, check and record data. Minimum of 2 year of ammonia refrigeration and maintenance experience within manufacturing. environment preferred. Experience with hydraulics, screw compressors, pneumatics, and troubleshooting using PLC's. Must be proficient at process safety management related maintenance and record keeping. Must pass pre-employment drug screen, employment history verification, and records check. Licenses and Certifications Certification Refrigeration Preferred Certification Green Belt Preferred

Physical Demands Category:
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery. Must be able to work in hot and cold and wet environments. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Travel Requirements Estimated Amount Brief Description
