Position Description and Purpose:

Key Essential Functions/Duties:
Understand OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Association) standards and ensure compliance throughout the facility.

Understand GMPs (Good Manufacturing Procedures) and other legal requirements of the food industry and ensure compliance throughout the facility.

Understand, uphold, and help lead efforts to refine of RBC employee safety and food safety programs, as well as RBC food quality and line sanitation programs.

Ensure the facility is ready for safety, food safety and customer quality audits.

Champion a plant reliability strategy, including the refinement of downtime metrics and our Maintenance Management software and leverage to drive performance.

Oversee the efforts of maintenance supervisors to ensure work is prioritized appropriately and being executed in a thorough manner consistent with customer requirements.

Enhance the PM (Preventative Maintenance) program throughout the facility to drive equipment reliability, stability of performance and safety of operation.

Champion continuous improvement efforts focused on simplifying the operation and efficiency of production equipment and maintenance processes.

Conduct process audits to identify opportunities for improvement and standardization of common maintenance tasks.

Identify skills gaps across the team in your functional area and implement training programs to develop the expertise / close the gaps.

Conduct interviews and lead candidate selection efforts as the hiring manager for the maintenance department.

Accountable for budget performance in maintenance related accounts.

Foster a culture that engages employees at all levels to improve the performance and stability of the operations in their functional areas.
Education/Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Leadership experience in an industrial maintenance setting, preferably in food productionAbility to work in a team environment.

Skilled at guiding technicians through diagnosis of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issuesProject management experienceProficient with Microsoft Office suite
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in an engineering related field.

Lean certificationExperience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and or AM (Autonomous Maintenance) programsThorough understanding of industrial automationAble to read and interpret blueprints for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Proficient with Microsoft AXExperience developing maintenance budget
Physical Requirements:
Able to safely move and work around moving equipment and in a variety of conditions, including standing for long periods of time.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
