Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a CDL B Driver, where you will play a vital role in efficient waste collection and transportation. This energetic position involves operating various types of commercial trucks, including front loader, rear loader, and roll-off trucks, to ensure the seamless collection and disposal of municipal and solid waste. Your expertise in safe driving practices, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service will contribute to our mission of maintaining clean communities while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and other waste collection vehicles following DOT (Department of Transportation) and state transportation regulations Load, unload, and secure waste materials efficiently using front-end loaders or manual methods while ensuring compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify mechanical issues, ensuring safety protocol adherence and proper functioning of air brakes and other truck systems Follow designated routes for municipal waste management, ensuring timely pickups while navigating traffic laws and road conditions Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with residents and clients during collection activities Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, loads, and any incidents or safety concerns during shifts Perform routine maintenance checks and minor mechanical repairs to keep trucks in optimal condition for daily operations Experience Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record demonstrating safe commercial truck driving experience Proven experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar garbage trucks in municipal or solid waste management settings Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to commercial driving and outdoor work environments Hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting and basic repairs on heavy-duty trucks with manual transmissions and air brake systems Strong understanding of route driving, load & unload procedures, and heavy lifting techniques required for solid waste collection tasks Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with community members during service calls Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards at all times Join us in making a difference through responsible waste management! Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 12.0 per week
