Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Job description: A growing manufacturing company in Wyoming, MI is seeking 1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Supervisors to lead our facility's maintenance teams. Our diverse production environment features an anodizing line alongside extrusion, punch press, CNC mill, saw, and former machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving within a fast-paced manufacturing setting, backed by extensive knowledge of hydraulic maintenance and systems.
Essential Functions:
Supervise a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts, coordinating schedules for coverage. Develop and implement maintenance processes and procedures to ensure optimal performance of assets. Perform emergency and scheduled repairs for production equipment as needed. Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment within the CMMS software. Develop and direct preventive maintenance schedules on machines, equipment, and facilities to minimize unplanned downtime. Work with Production Control and Department Managers to Prioritize repairs and activities based on production demand. Conduct proactive inspections to identify and resolve issues. Utilize equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, and work orders for maintenance tasks. Design training programs to mentor and enhance maintenance staff skills and knowledge. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized tasks and negotiate contracts for maintenance work. Supervise janitorial staff to maintain clean, safe, and hygienic company premises. Implement workplace safety policies and standards. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Analyze maintenance data for improvement opportunities.
Required Education and Experience:
Supervisor experience of leading teams and implementing plans Mechanically inclined with experience in root-cause analysis and troubleshooting equipment Strong Understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical Work history that includes good attendance Commitment to complete work with safety, quality, and efficiency in mind Willingness to learn on the job and willing to work with a variety of machines and processes High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school would be an advantage
PLC/ELECTRICAL A+ 2
years of Maintenance Experience is preferred Ability to work at heights and confined spaces Electrical and Controls knowledge Effective communication and people management skills
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a plant environment within a manufacturing/warehouse/shipping facility with a controlled climate in the office area. Temperatures vary in the plant area. This position requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, kneeling, and crawling
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with mandatory overtime. Standard days/hours are Monday - Saturday, 45-50 hours a week
