Full-Time Join Our Team! Are you an experienced maintenance professional who takes pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment? We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Maintenance Director to lead the day-to-day operations of our Maintenance Department in a skilled nursing and long-term care facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands healthcare facility operations, preventative maintenance, life safety regulations, and the importance of providing a safe environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do Direct and oversee all maintenance operations for the facility. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, OSHA, CMS, NFPA Life Safety Code, and Missouri regulatory requirements. Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems. Perform routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, grounds, and equipment. Coordinate repairs with outside contractors and vendors as needed. Oversee emergency preparedness, fire safety systems, and life safety compliance. Maintain required maintenance logs, inspection records, and documentation. Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards during maintenance activities. Assist with budgeting, inventory control, purchasing supplies, and managing department expenses. Supervise and mentor maintenance staff while promoting teamwork and accountability. Participate in surveys, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and after-hours situations when necessary. Maintain facility grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, and seasonal maintenance needs. Qualifications Technical, vocational, or trade school training preferred. Previous maintenance leadership experience required. Long-term care, skilled nursing, hospital, or healthcare maintenance experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of:
HVAC systems Electrical systems Plumbing Carpentry Mechanical equipment Fire alarm and sprinkler systems Emergency generators Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA Life Safety Code, and CMS healthcare facility requirements preferred. Ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documents. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
