Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Maintenance Director to lead and oversee all aspects of facilities management within our organization. This pivotal role involves managing maintenance teams, ensuring the optimal operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and a proactive approach to facility management. Duties Lead and manage facilities maintenance teams, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures for mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing systems, and high/low voltage equipment. Oversee the scheduling and execution of preventive maintenance programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Troubleshoot engineering issues related to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems using schematics, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and industry standards by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety compliance documentation. Monitor facility performance metrics to optimize operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Qualifications Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in industrial or large-scale environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and Ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and communication purposes. Experience managing facilities maintenance management programs such as CMMS software. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with the ability to implement safety procedures effectively. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
