Job Description

Maintenance Manager
  • Recycling Industry
  • Base Salary to 110k/year
  • Webb City, MO Our client, a well-established recycling company, is currently seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for a busy industrial recycling facility.
The Maintenance Manager will oversee a six-person maintenance team and be responsible for fleet maintenance, heavy mobile equipment, diesel trucks, hydraulic systems, stationary processing equipment, and related industrial machinery. This position requires hands-on mechanical experience and the ability to work alongside maintenance personnel while leading day-to-day maintenance operations.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise daily maintenance operations for the yard, maintenance shop, fleet, heavy equipment, and stationary processing equipmentManage and train a team of six maintenance employeesEstablish and maintain preventive maintenance and equipment maintenance schedules for trucks, heavy equipment, hydraulic equipment, and stationary machineryTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and operational equipment issuesOversee maintenance and repair of trucks, roll-off containers, trailers, material handlers, forklifts, skid steers, and other heavy mobile equipmentMaintain and troubleshoot stationary processing equipment, including large industrial shears and ferrous balersProvide hands-on mechanical support, troubleshooting, and repair guidance to maintenance personnelSupport welding and fabrication repairs associated with fleet, heavy equipment, and industrial machineryManage maintenance costs and assist with the maintenance department budgetMaintain inventory of critical spare parts and coordinate outside repairs and service vendorsOversee safe maintenance practices throughout yard and shop operationsIdentify maintenance and process improvements that increase equipment reliability, productivity, and uptimeWork with operations leadership to prioritize repairs and minimize production and equipment downtime
Qualifications:
Proven maintenance management experience supporting heavy equipment and fleet operations within metal recycling or a similar industrial environment, including recycling, demolition, aggregate, quarry, mining, waste management, lumber, steel mills, concrete, asphalt, ready mix, or heavy equipment rentalExperience managing maintenance involving heavy mobile equipment, hydraulic systems, diesel trucks, and welding/fabrication in a production-driven industrial environmentHands-on mechanical experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and stationary industrial machineryHydraulic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting experiencePrevious maintenance leadership or supervisory experienceExperience diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and operational equipment problems and determining appropriate repairsExperience leading maintenance personnel while providing hands-on equipment maintenance and troubleshooting support
Compensation:
Base salary in the 100k
