Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the physical building meets all safety and building codes, and overseeing routine equipment and systems maintenance schedules.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all service and repair tasks as assigned Operates the maintenance department in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and following established policies and procedures Ensures the physical building meets all safety and building codes Schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies outside the scope of routine maintenance Assists in emergency situations related to the physical plant and acts as the facility's safety officer Monitors and follows regular equipment and systems maintenance schedules Works with department heads to ensure routine maintenance in Resident care areas does not interfere with the care or safety of Residents Operates the Maintenance Department within budgetary guidelines and limitations Completes annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff and provides guidance and education to staff in regards to their performance Responsible for training and educating staff members Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of Residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environment Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent 3 years' experience working in a building maintenance capacity
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years' experience in a facilities maintenance role Associates degree in construction technology or similar field
