Primarily weekdays with required weekend & holiday availability as needed. At The Cove, were not just maintaining a property. This role combines leadership, project management, troubleshooting, dock operations, and hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

DescriptionWhat Youll DoOversee all maintenance operations across the propertyManage maintenance schedules, preventative maintenance, and ongoing projectsHire, train, supervise, and schedule the maintenance crewMonitor and respond to property damage, repairs, and safety concernsOversee operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the dock pumpout system including pumps, sensors, alarms, controls, and connected smart systemsHelp monitor and maintain smart systems and network-connected infrastructure throughout the propertyCoordinate vendors, contractors, and larger repair projectsInstall and maintain decor, signage, lighting, and property enhancementsUtilize company software systems for project tracking, task management, and communicationSupport dock operations, infrastructure maintenance, and storm preparation effortsHelp maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the propertyImportant to Know About This RoleThis is not a desk job this role requires both leadership and hands-on physical workThere is a physical component including lifting, carrying, climbing stairs, and working outdoorsYou will regularly work around water and on floating docksThis role includes managing trash and sewer-related systems that can be dirty, physically demanding, and occasionally unpleasantSome weekend, holiday, and occasional on-call availability is requiredRequires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize urgent issues quicklyWhat Makes Someone a Great FitHighly organized and detail-orientedStrong communicator and team playerCalm under pressure and solutions-orientedAble to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyComfortable leading a team while also jumping into hands-on workTakes ownership and initiativeThrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environmentComfortable troubleshooting both physical maintenance issues and basic smart system/network-related issuesBonus ExperienceMaintenance management or facilities leadership experienceBasic knowledge of boats, marine systems, or waterfront operationsBasic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshootingExperience with pumps, sensors, smart systems, or network-connected equipmentConstruction, marina, hospitality, or property management experienceExperience using software systems for maintenance, scheduling, or project managementRequirementsValid drivers license requiredMust be able to pass a background check and drug screeningMust provide 3 professional referencesThis isnt a traditional maintenance role.
