Job Description

Level Up Staffing is looking to hire a Nursing Home Maintenance Director in Wilson, North Carolina. The Director of Maintenance plays a critical role in maintaining all physical plant assets on the property. The Director of Maintenance manages the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for all service and repair tasks as assigned. 2. Operates the maintenance department in a safe manner by ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and following established policies and procedures. 3. Ensures the physical building meets all safety and building codes. 4. Schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies outside the scope of routine maintenance. 5. Assists in emergency situations related to the physical plant and acts as the facility's safety officer. 6. Ensure that regular equipment and systems maintenance schedules are monitored and followed at all times. 7. Works with department heads to ensure routine maintenance in Resident care areas does not interfere with the care or safety of Residents. 8. Responsible for operating the Maintenance Department within budgetary guidelines and limitations. 9. Completes annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff. Provides guidance and education to staff in regards to their performance. 10. Responsible for training and educating staff members. 11. Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of Residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment. 12. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. 3 years experience working in a building maintenance capacity. Preferred Education and Experience 5 years experience in a facilities maintenance role. Associates degree in construction technology or similar field.
