Job Summary

Aviation Search Group has partnered with one of the largest flight schools on the East Coast to identify an experienced Shop Floor Manager for our client's General Aviation Repair Station.

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Shop Floor Manager will oversee daily aircraft maintenance operations while mentoring, developing, and training company technicians. This position plays a key role in ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, customer requirements, and applicable airworthiness standards.

This position offers a day shift Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily production activities to meet delivery commitments.

Monitor workflow, turnaround times (TAT), and productivity metrics.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Federal Aviation Administration regulations.

Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved data, repair station manuals, and customer specifications.

Assist, mentor, and train company mechanics.

Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.

Requirements

5-10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance experience, including Military Experience, Part 145 MRO, or other aircraft fleet.

Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in an MRO environment.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.

Strong General Aviation experience and knowledge.

Ability to teach and lead A&P mechanics.
