Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our dynamic facilities management team who oversee a portfolio of luxury apartments. In this pivotal role, you will support the Director of Maintenance in overseeing the maintenance operations across our portfolio, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely. Your leadership will help foster a culture of excellence in maintenance repair procedures, safety compliance, and team collaboration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the seamless functioning of our portfolio while developing your management and technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing systems, and more. Help coordinate facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of tasks according to established procedures and safety regulations. Utilize PMS to schedule work orders, track maintenance history, and optimize resource allocation. Develop and maintain maintenance records, including equipment logs, repair histories, and maintenance schedules in Company PMS. Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards by implementing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits. Help oversee project management tasks related to facilities upgrades or repairs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. Help train teams utilizing company Safety program, including staff training and reporting All other duties as assigned. Experience Proven experience in facilities management with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge and electrical systems repair. Supervising or managing facilities maintenance teams with demonstrated leadership skills in managing personnel effectively. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and implementing safety procedures within industrial environments. Proficiency in using PMS such as Yardi or Real Page for maintenance planning and record keeping. Knowledge of HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination. Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 3 hours at a time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance, and 250 lbs. with assistance. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach overhead and low.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
