Job Category AFSCME Local 888 Overview The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Supply Clerk for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Under general supervision, performs warehouse related support duties in the requisitioning, receiving, processing, delivering, storing and issuing of building and repair supplies, parts, and other materials associated with the warehouse facility and its related functions (i.e. Housing & Supply Center). Among the key duties of this position are the following: Receives and unpacks all requisitioned materials; examines incoming parts, equipment, and other supplies for conformance with specifications. Labels and sizes stock and ensure that stock bins and shelves are properly supplied. Processes incoming orders (walk-ins and digital) /issues stock in accordance with requisitioned supplies and departmental policies & procedures. Completes the delivery of orders as instructed by management. Performs periodic and special inventories; estimates the need for and requisitions supplies.
