Seeking a motivated and energetic Automotive Service Manager/ MIT for Shannon Automotive Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Automotive Service Manager/ MIT to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of our automotive service department, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient workflow. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of automotive repair processes, including diagnostics, service writing, and sales. The Assistant Automotive Service Manager/ MIT will play a crucial role in aligning the team's efforts with our business goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the automotive service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and staff supervision. Oversee service writing to ensure accurate documentation of customer requests and services performed. Collaborate with technicians to align on automotive diagnostics and repair strategies for various vehicles, including diesel engine repairs. Conduct auto estimating for repair costs and communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle needs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Train and mentor staff on best practices in automotive service and repair techniques. Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain operational efficiency. Foster strong customer relationships through effective communication and problem-solving skills to enhance customer satisfaction. Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement within the service department. Requirements & Compensation Proven experience in automotive service management or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, including auto body repair, automotive diagnostics, and diesel engine repair. Excellent service writing skills with the ability to align team efforts towards achieving sales goals. Familiarity with auto estimating processes and tools is highly desirable. Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance enhancement. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly with both customers and team members to ensure a smooth operation. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive technology are a plus. Ability to maintain enthusiasm and a professional demeanor at all times Availability to work a flexible schedule to cover store hours (730-5:30pm M-F & 7:30-5:00 Sat.
