Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Director to lead our facilities maintenance operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities across manufacturing or industrial sites. Your leadership will ensure that mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems operate seamlessly, supporting continuous production and safety compliance. Responsibilities Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams, ensuring efficient execution of maintenance repair procedures across mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing systems, and high/low voltage equipment. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment uptime and reliability. Manage complex projects related to facilities upgrades, system repairs, and installations by coordinating resources, schedules, and budgets effectively. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices by conducting regular safety audits, training sessions, and maintaining detailed safety documentation. Troubleshoot engineering issues using schematics, electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques to resolve system failures swiftly. Oversee the management of mechanical systems repair activities by adhering to established maintenance management standards and procedures. Monitor facility operations for potential hazards or inefficiencies; implement corrective actions promptly to maintain a safe environment for all employees. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan maintenance activities that minimize downtime while supporting manufacturing productivity. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, parts inventory, and compliance documentation using CMMS software. Qualifications Proven management experience supervising facilities or industrial maintenance teams in a manufacturing or similar environment. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures. Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols within a facilities setting. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters. Skilled in project management with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while managing budgets and timelines. Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster a safety-conscious culture. Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management and record keeping. Demonstrated leadership qualities with supervising experience in managing diverse teams within a fast-paced environment. Technical expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical troubleshooting, HVAC systems repair, plumbing repairs, high/low voltage electrical work, and mechanical systems repair is essential.
