A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Job:
The Company is seeking a Long-Range Planner Mobile Equipment Maintenance for its Rochester Mine in Lovelock, Nevada. The Long-Range Planner is responsible and accountable for developing Mid & Long-Range plans based on the outlined budget strategies for a 12-month rolling calendar. The Long-Range Planner will coordinate daily with the Short-Range Planner and oversee the weekly Maintenance Planning Schedule to ensure continuity of all planned work activities for all mobile fleets. Rochesters fleet of equipment includes a Komatsu PC4000 and Hitachi 2600 face shovels, threeCAT 994K
loaders, twenty-six CAT 789 Haul Trucks, twoCAT 6250
Drills, two DML Drills, one Epiroc 235 Viper Drill, six CAT D10 Dozers and miscellaneous support Water Trucks, Graders, RTD equipment and an assortment of medium and light duty vehicles. This position will report to the Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor and/or Mobile Maintenance Superintendent.Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Short-Range Planners, Parts Coordinators, Maintenance Supervisors, and General Supervisors to ensure all relevant information has been cross communicated to prioritize work scopes of each planned work order to be scheduled and executed safely, properly and timely. Manage the maintenance planning function to ensure that the scheduled work has been properly planned to meet targeted KPIs. Prepare and manage a rolling twelve-month forecast of major component change-out PCR plans according to the equipment maintenance strategies per the budget. Continually monitor and review the work order history to optimize component change-out intervals to help eliminate recurring defects. Responsible for overseeing the creation and timely, efficient, and effective PM schedules. Responsible for oversight and monitoring of preventive maintenance services, major repair outage critical paths, Ghantt Charts and similar PCR-projects. Ensure correct parts identification, ordering and staging parts are adhered to. Complete job walks with identified stakeholders to ensure project work is scoped properly and is completed in a timely manner with emphasis on company safety and environmental policies and procedures and with all relevant regulations and permitting requirements.Enforce adherence and compliance with weekly and monthly PM, PCRs and schedules.
Planning ability to think ahead and plan within timelines and resources; develop work scopes, plan, and schedule work; set priorities and goals; anticipate and adjust for problems; evaluate workloads; measure and evaluate performance against established goals.
Time management ability to successfully plan and implement objectives within established timelines and work schedules.
Works closely with shift supervisors and contractors to identify and manage bottlenecks, functional gaps, and constraints with these projects to ensure that actions are in place to deliver results consistent with the department key performance indicators (KPI) metrics.
Generate and complete work orders, requisitions, sole source justification and management of change documents, SOPs and procedures as required.
Monitor contractor performance to ensure service standards are maintained and are all consistent with contractual obligations.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Five (5+) years of documented experience in an open pit mobile equipment maintenance environment preferred. Five (5+) years of documented experience, at a minimum, as open pit mobile maintenance planner. Proficient with all Microsoft 365 tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Cat SIS, My Komatsu and any other OEM programs. Knowledgeable in CMMS tools such as Oracle/EAM scheduling tools, SAP, JDE or similar systems and Xeras would be a plus. Must understand mobile maintenance budgeting processes.In depth knowledge in strategic planning, preventative maintenance, condition monitoring process and reliability engineering methods. Proficient in fleet management and maintenance strategies and performance metrics to increase efficiency, monitor maintenance planning KPIs, schedule compliance, component tracking, planned component replacement (PCR) and major component replacement schedule, work order and backlog management.
Well versed in establishing a disciplined approach to maintaining critical consignment spares to manage immediate and future material requirements.
Thorough understanding of standard maintenance and operational procedures, utilizing best maintenance practices, work management and being able to complete tasks with guidelines stipulated by Coeur safety and environmental policies.
Ability to work collaboratively and use teamwork to solve problems.
Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
Skill in identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others and mentors Short Range Planners and Parts Coordinators. High School Diploma or GED.
