The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, safety, and overall physical condition of the independent living community including ensuring that the community, residents, homes and grounds are maintained in a safe and welcoming environment. Responsibilities of a Maintenance Manager include: Ensure operation of building and equipment, maintenance and knowledge in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, flooring and other building systems. Uses electronic work order system for processing and completing work orders quickly and efficiently. Maintains appropriate inventories of maintenance supplies, tools, equipment and replacement parts. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and repair work to maintain the facility. Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance program for the community. Coordinate outside contractors and vendors, including obtaining estimates, scheduling work, monitoring performance, and ensuring work is completed properly. Participate in emergency response situations, including water leaks, power outages, heating/cooling failures, and other building emergencies. Required qualities and requirements for a successful

Maintenance Manager:

3-5 years of building maintenance experience, facilities management, or related experience preferred. Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform other physical-related duties. Must be able to stand varying temperatures in the work area.
