Job Description
Apartment Maintenance Technician / Apartment Superintendent, needed for 56-unit apartment complex in Bay Shore, NY. Well-located property, with professional management. Apartment Maintenance Technician / Apartment Superintendent will oversee all maintenance, repairs, makes-readies and cleaning. Experience as Apartment Maintenance Technician / Apartment Superintendent is a plus. Experience in construction and/or handyman work is also beneficial, along with ability to live at apartment complex. All applicants must have the following abilities for Apartment Maintenance Technician / Apartment Superintendent position: Light construction
- drywall repairs, hang cabinets, etc Light plumbing
- toilet wax rings, faucet installation, drain snaking, etc. Light Electrical
- change outlets, hang light fixtures Painting
- Must be a neat and clean painter Janitorial
- Must be skilled and open to all cleaning needs Landscaping
- Mowing lawn, pruning and planting Snow Removal
- Must be able to operate a snow thrower and shovel/salt walks Driver's License and own vehicle Friendly communication skills Responsibilities for Apartment Maintenance Technician / Apartment Superintendent include:
- Apartment and building repairs and maintenance Respond promptly to Tenant maintenance requests Clean common areas and exterior Prepare vacant apartments for rental
- painting, cleaning, etc. Picking up supplies at hardware store, Home Depot, etc. Show apartments to prospective Tenants Light landscaping
- mowing, pruning, planting, etc. Snow removal and salting on walks and entrances Distributing Tenant notices and rent bills. Applicants must be mature, responsible individuals, able to work as self-starters, and effectively maintain their own schedule. Ability to communicate positively with Tenants, managers and staff is very important. SALARY
- Competitive Salary commensurate with experience, plus leasing fee for showing/renting vacant apartments. HOUSING
