Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations within our long term care/skilled nursing/ adult care facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely and supervising the maintenance staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, state and federal regulations, and operational standards. Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and implement corrective actions. Serves as emergency responder for all codes including hazmat . Manage and assign preventive maintenance schedules Assists with resident room preparedness and room moves Fabricate parts as needed and oversee high voltage electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshooting and repairs of various systems including HVAC. Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices in maintenance techniques and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management. Responds to resident calls for assistance pertaining to maintenance functions Routinely performs work required of maintenance department weekend on call rotation Fills in as Driver picking up and dropping off residents to appointment and picking residents from hospital on admission. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within an industrial or health care maintenance environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, and mechanical repair techniques. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools. Familiarity with software for scheduling and tracking maintenance tasks. Ability to read and understand technical schematics and blueprints. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
