Our company operates a fleet of approximately 3,000 commercial trucks throughout Long Island and the Tri-State area . We're looking for a hands-on leader who can assess our current operation, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies that increase efficiency, productivity, and fleet reliability. Responsibilities Evaluate maintenance operations, workflows, and shop structure. Review and improve maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices. Increase technician productivity and overall shop efficiency. Standardize maintenance processes across multiple locations. Evaluate preventative maintenance programs and reduce fleet downtime. Review staffing, scheduling, training, and performance metrics. Recommend operational improvements that enhance safety, compliance, and profitability. Mentor and support maintenance managers, supervisors, and technicians. Qualifications Extensive experience managing or consulting within a heavy-duty truck or commercial fleet maintenance environment. Strong knowledge of diesel trucks, diesel engines, and fleet maintenance operations. Proven experience improving maintenance processes and shop performance. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Multi-location fleet management experience is preferred. Knowledge of DOT compliance and preventative maintenance programs. Previous union shop experience is required. What We're Looking For We're looking for a results-oriented maintenance leader who can evaluate our current operation, develop practical solutions, and help build a more efficient, standardized maintenance department.
