No Location CountySteuben Street Address3863 Meads Creek Road CityPainted Post StateNY Zip Code14870 Job Specifics Duties DescriptionAs a working supervisor, the individual selected will be expected to direct and supervise one or more work crews in the safe, effective and efficient execution in a variety of highway and facility maintenance tasks, personally observe work in progress and work completed to ensure adherence to guidelines and instructions, make individual assignments to work crews and instruct work crew members in the tasks to be performed, participate in the development and execution of the residency work programs, maintain accurate electronic and written records for time and attendance, work accomplishment, as well as equipment and material usage, provide general supervision duties including adherence to policy and procedures including evaluation of employees performance, operate equipment and perform tasks required of subordinate workers as necessary, and answer emergency calls outside of regular hours of work. Must be able to respond to snow and ice related callouts within one (1) hour. Duties will be discussed during the interview. Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations. Minimum QualificationsThis title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).• To be considered for appointment through NY HELPS, or 55 b/c, candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
