Blossom Care Center is a Skilled Nursing Facility seeking an experienced Director of Maintenance to join our team! Responsibilities Evaluate, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems Provide oversight of all Maintenance, Laundry and Housekeeping employees Perform maintenance and repairs on all aspects of the facility building as directed Receive and respond to resident and family reports of mechanical or maintenance issues Communicate with supervisor about any work that requires outside expert assistance Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems pursuant to applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations as well as the facility's policies and procedures Fix potential safety hazards in a timely manner Provide support to Housekeeping and Laundry Departments as directed Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations relating to responsibilities Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED Minimum three years' experience in a similar position in a medical setting Experience survey requirements for maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping departments Experience with minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC servicing needs and repairs Familiar with such equipment as PTAC units, fire alarms, nurse call lights, internet/network setup, and phone systems
