$130,000 - $150,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of our client's Columbus operation. This individual will oversee approximately 20 technicians across fire alarm and security installation/service, along with Project Managers, administrative/support personnel, service coordination, and sales engineering resources. Reporting to a Director, the Operations Manager will have responsibility for the overall performance of the line of business, including revenue, gross profit, project execution, service delivery, workforce management, customer satisfaction, and team development. This is not a desk-only management position. The right person will operate at the business level while maintaining credibility and visibility with the field organization, customers, and project teams. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations for Fire Alarm & Security installation and service Manage and develop a team of approximately 20 field technicians along with Project Managers and operational support staff Own revenue, gross profit, and overall P&L performance for the line of business Drive operational performance across scheduling, project execution, service delivery, labor utilization, and customer satisfaction Establish clear expectations and accountability throughout the team Coach and develop managers, technicians, and support personnel Partner with sales and sales engineering to ensure projects are properly scoped, staffed, and executed Monitor workload, capacity, project progress, and operational KPIs Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and profitability Resolve customer and operational escalations Maintain a visible presence with field teams and customers Make independent operational decisions while partnering closely with senior leadership Help build a stable, high-performing team capable of supporting continued growth Ideal Background Strong operations leadership experience within a field-service, installation, construction, mechanical, electrical, or technical services environment Experience managing technicians, field personnel, Project Managers, and/or service teams Demonstrated P&L or significant financial responsibility Strong understanding of revenue, gross margin, labor utilization, and operational performance Experience leading teams through growth, change, or operational improvement Comfortable making decisions independently and managing multiple priorities Strong people leader who can effectively work across a wide range of personalities and experience levels Customer-facing and comfortable handling escalations when necessary Able to operate strategically without losing connection to day-to-day field operations Experience within fire alarm, electronic security, access control, life safety, low-voltage, or a related industry is highly preferred, but strong operational leadership within a comparable field-service environment will also be considered. Compensation Competitive base salary plus quarterly performance-based incentive tied to revenue and gross profit. Target total compensation is approximately $150K, with potential flexibility based on directly relevant Fire Alarm & Security experience.
