Maintenance Director

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Director to lead our facilities maintenance operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your leadership will ensure that all equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting the overall success of our organization. You will manage maintenance teams, implement safety regulations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold the highest standards of facilities management. Responsibilities Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repair of mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and high voltage equipment. Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment uptime and lifespan. Oversee troubleshooting and repair procedures for complex mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing schematics, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by conducting safety audits, training staff on safety procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets effectively. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety compliance using Microsoft Office tools and CMMS software. Collaborate with other departments to plan facility improvements while ensuring adherence to safety standards and maintenance repair procedures. Skills Proven management experience with the ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair, electrical systems troubleshooting (including high voltage), HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance practices. Strong understanding of safety regulations such as OSHA standards and facility safety protocols. Proficiency in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues; experience with engineering troubleshooting techniques. Skilled in project management with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while managing resources efficiently. Ability to interpret technical schematics; experience working with voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools for electrical testing. Excellent leadership qualities with supervisory experience managing facilities maintenance teams; capable of motivating staff to achieve high performance standards. Strong communication skills in English; capable of clearly documenting procedures and conveying technical information effectively.
