A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Job Description

Join Kellanova as a Master Maintenance Planner and ensure the reliability and performance of our manufacturing assets. You will own long- and short-term maintenance planning for production lines and utilities, building optimized preventive and predictive maintenance schedules that maximize uptime, OEE, and safety. Using our CMMS, you will plan work orders, labor, and materials, maintain accurate asset records, and analyze maintenance KPIs to drive continuous improvement. You'll partner closely with operations, reliability, engineering, and safety teams to prioritize work, support shutdowns and projects, and uphold our quality and food safety standards. Responsibilities Develop and manage long- and short-term maintenance plans for manufacturing lines and utilities Schedule preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and OEECoordinate maintenance work orders, labor, and materials with production and engineering Maintain accurate asset data, PM libraries, and histories in the
CMMS/EAM
system Analyze breakdown trends and maintenance KPIs to drive reliability improvements Collaborate with operations, reliability, and safety teams to prioritize work Optimize spare parts strategies with procurement and storeroom teams Ensure maintenance plans comply with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards Lead continuous improvement initiatives in planning, scheduling, and work execution Provide planning support for shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects Required Skills Maintenance planning and scheduling
CMMS/EAM
systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor) Preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/Pd M) Reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) concepts Maintenance work management and workflow design Root cause analysis and failure analysis Maintenance KPI and OEE analysis Spare parts and inventory management Technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems Shutdown/turnaround and project planning Safety and food safety compliance (OSHA, GMP, HACCP) Data analysis and Excel reporting Cross-functional communication and stakeholder management Lean and continuous improvement methodologies Reading technical drawings and equipment documentation
