Maintenance Director
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
: Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and repair of the tribal buildings, grounds, and equipment. Oversees and coordinates the work with the maintenance workers. Evaluates problematic systems or facilities and determines what installation or repair services that are needed. Oversees staff training and development. Maintains a safe working environment and ensures a well maintained clean environment for the tribal complex, its employees, and visitors.RESPONSIBILITES
Oversees and coordinates the work of maintenance workers in buildings and grounds maintenance including repairs in electrical, plumbing, ventilation and building systems. Inspects complete work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards. Estimates labor costs requirements and monitors production schedules for completion of necessary repairs. Sets up Red Buffalo for special tribal events and activities. Maintain lawn care of all tribally owned properties. Initiates or suggests plans to motive workers to achieve work/program goals. Confers with other Supervisors to coordinate maintenance needs of individual department. Perform other duties as needed or assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent GED Five years of facilities, building systems, and grounds maintenance experience including at least one year of foreman or supervisory experience. HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Certification preferred.REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable under the Kiowa Tribe's motor vehicle policy. Must be willing to submit to and pass drug testing. Must be willing to submit to and pass a background investigation. Must have at least 2 years of experience in working with maintenance.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to lift and move objects or materials up to 50lbs. Work requires extensive movements such as walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling. Frequent periods of prolonged standing. Working in cramped and awkward positions including extreme heat or cold temperatures.Equal Opportunity Employer :
