Job Description

Fast-growing property management company seeking experienced handyman to add to our maintenance team for a Class-A new construction apartment complex. Looking for that well-rounded individual capable of understanding and using technology as well as the ability to diagnose and repair general home/commercial maintenance items including but not limited to:
  • Investigate a variety of repairs/issues and fix if within abilities, or determine along with property managers if scheduling a specialized contractor is necessary
  • Assist Property Managers with turnover inspections, managing outside vendors and maintaining an organized work order tracking system.
  • Available for after-hours/weekend calls in emergency situations
  • Effectively manage time and accurately bill time/materials spent at properties to submit to property managers.
  • Communicate with property managers on repairs/clean-up required and address if necessary
  • Regular and periodic property clean-up including light janitorial, trash removal, leaf blowing and power washing
  • Assist property managers with bidding larger construction jobs including paving, concrete and remodels
  • Complete seasonal maintenance to protect the asset
  • Complete routine inspections of property
  • Manage annual fire alarm, fire/sprinkler, elevator, and backflow testing including scheduling vendors and arranging access.
  • Replace/Repair Light Fixtures
  • Touch Up and Fully Repaint walls, including paint matching
  • Change/Re-Key Locks
  • Troubleshoot basic appliance issues
  • Replace/Repair basic plumbing fixtures like faucets and stoppers
  • Replace filters for fridges, dishwashers, and HVAC, including ordering the correct replacements
  • Installing/repairing blinds including vertical Must present to clients and tenants in a professional manner regarding communication skills and appearance.
Needs to understand and use email, cell phones, and property management software AppFolio; we will train on creating and closing out work orders and generating invoices if necessary.
