Summary:

This is a newly created position that will focus on production scheduling and service writing as the primary functions. The position will evolve as it is fully defined over the first six months. •We are offering a $3,000 Sign on Bonus!•

Essential Duties:

This position serves as the key liaison between customers, service technicians, and the production team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing accurate service orders, communicating repair needs, coordinating production schedules, and ensuring timely completion of jobs. The shop foreman will be the on-the-ground leader of production floor and the bridge between management and the shop floor; making sure the team's work is organized, high-quality, safe, and on schedule. Supervision & Leadership Oversee day-to-day work in the shop, ensuring tasks are done safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Assign work orders and jobs to technicians. Monitor performance and provide guidance, training, or corrections. Quality Control Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards. Troubleshoot problems and help resolve complex technical issues. Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated for accurate work. Workflow & Scheduling Plan daily operations to meet deadlines. Coordinate with management, suppliers, or customers about job timelines and requirements. Manage priorities when urgent jobs arise. Oversee day-to-day work in the shop, ensuring tasks are done safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Assign work orders and jobs to technicians. Monitor performance and provide guidance, training, or corrections. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards. Make sure staff use personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure the shop complies with environmental, industry, or company regulations. Ensure shop is safe and free of any objects in pedestrian walkways. Technical & Administrative Tasks Order parts, tools, and materials. Keep records of jobs, labor hours, and inventory. Train apprentices or new hires on both technical skills and shop procedures. Enforce workplace safety rules and procedures. Make sure staff use personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure the shop complies with environmental, industry, or company regulations. Ensure shop is safe and free of any objects in pedestrian walkways. Order parts, tools, and materials. Keep records of jobs, labor hours, and inventory. Train apprentices or new hires on both technical skills and shop procedures.

Requirements:

Excellent communication and customer relation skills. Desire for continuous improvement. Experience in service writing, scheduling, or related roles preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Proficient with computers. Knowledge of repair or manufacturing processes is a plus. Answers phone calls, provide price quotes and other information. Provide a high level of service to both internal and external customers. Other tasks as assigned. Scheduling experience. Successful completion of background checks and drug screening
