Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Advanced Planning & Scheduling Manager is responsible for the implementation, support, adoption, and continuous improvement of the company's Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) software across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role serves as the primary owner of APS-related manufacturing master data, including Bills of Material (BOMs), Routings, Machines, Work Centers, Production Calendars, Capacity Parameters, and related planning data. The position partners closely with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Customer Service, IT, and Plant Leadership to ensure system accuracy, process standardization, and successful deployment of APS capabilities. This role is responsible for documenting best practices, developing repeatable implementation processes, training users, supporting change management initiatives, and monitoring plant adoption and performance metrics to drive continuous operational improvements.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other duties as assigned)- Lead and support the implementation of APS software in all sites Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for APS functionality, system processes, and manufacturing planning workflows Review and analyze APS system outputs versus existing routing and planning times to identify variances, trends, and opportunities related to floor efficiency, planning accuracy, idle capacity, and unplanned downtime Coordinate implementation between plant personnel, IT resources & software vendor Assist plants in identifying and resolving system-related planning and master data issues Develop training materials, user guides, and onboarding programs for APS system users • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within the ERP system and related business systems used to support manufacturing, planning, and order execution Own and govern all APS-related master records across all plants, including: Bill of Materials, Routings, Machines, Work Center, Production Calendar, Capacity Constraints, and planning attributes Support alignment between ERP and APS systems to maintain accurate planning and scheduling information Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and best practices related to APS processes and master data management.
- Ensure accuracy of product attributes and manufacturing parameters, auditing consistency across Items, BOMs, and Routings
- Promote and enforce safety as a top priority, complying with company policies and regulatory standards while working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred, or 5+ years of experience in a related field
- Experience in production planning through ERP, APS, or related business system.
- Proficiency with Office 365
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and PeopleSoft ERP system
- Experience with ERP systems, APS applications, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General office environment. Personal protective equipment required in warehouse and manufacturing environments
- Frequently required to talk, hear, sit, and use hand to finger (key or write), handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Repetitive computer and administrative tasks require constant hand activity, including: gripping/grasping, writing and/or typing
