Division Overview:
Crown's Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. Cheraw, SC.
Position Overview:
Provides technical support by training and troubleshooting maintenance of equipment in the facility
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement and maintain preventive as well as predictive maintenance programs Oversee full wastewater treatment systems Prepare and administer department budget within established guidelines for maintenance and repair of building and equipment Manage all processes and equipment to meet state & federal compliance requirements i.e. - air permits, WWT discharge permits, OHSA safety standards, etc. Maintain plant quality performance standards Manage and direct an engineering staff and workforce Facilitate and foster a teamwork-oriented philosophy Responsible for all of the engineering department safety related matters. Plan and Oversee Capital Expenditure items including equipment purchases, contracted labor and in-house construction and fabrication projects Provide on and off-hour emergency response including; equipment repair, damage control, and assignment of support personnel as needed Facilitate and supports EHS programs such as hazardous waste disposal programs Provide necessary training to new and existing employees Keep up on technological changes such as retrofitting machinery to meet today's new laws and efficiency standards Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following: Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent experience. 2-4 years' knowledge of manufacturing methods and techniques. Background in recognized trade. Minimum of 5-7 years of work-related experience. Competency Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Ability to understand and speak basic English. Attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, PC Proficiency, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, use hands, and fingers to feel, touch, grasp or grip tools, objects, or handles. Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift, carry or push or pull up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is extremely loud. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Working Conditions Generally, works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is frequently loud.
