Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor is a working supervisor responsible for leading the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility while actively performing maintenance work alongside the team. This position is expected to spend the majority of the workday in the plant performing hands on maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, completing repairs, and supporting facility upkeep, not working from a desk. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees maintenance personnel, prioritizes daily work assignments, coordinates preventive maintenance, ensures equipment reliability, and maintains a safe, efficient work environment. This role also manages maintenance budgets, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance while leading by example through active participation in maintenance activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serve as a hands-on leader by performing maintenance work alongside maintenance technicians on a daily basis. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, facility systems, and building infrastructure. Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily maintenance activities to ensure timely completion. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and facility emergencies to minimize downtime. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and building systems. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Perform general facility maintenance including painting, carpentry, welding, masonry, roofing, and landscaping as needed. Coordinate outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and equipment maintenance records. Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards. Train, coach, and develop maintenance employees while holding the team accountable for quality and safety. Communicate equipment concerns, project updates, and maintenance needs to management. Assist with budgeting, purchasing maintenance supplies, and inventory control. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum experience of 5 years in a supervisory role. Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Familiarity in understanding blueprints and schematics. Effective communication and people management skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines. A professional demeanor with positive customer service to internal and external customers.
