A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Scope of Role Red's All Natural is looking for a Maintenance Planner/Analyst to join our team at our North Sioux City, SD facility, a 300-person food manufacturing plant. This role is primarily responsible for planning and analyzing maintenance work for a team of maintenance technicians, with additional responsibility for supporting raw and packaging material inventory accuracy. This is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and energized by keeping equipment reliability and planning tight in a fast-paced food production environment.
Requirements:
Principal Accountabilities Maintenance Planning & Analysis End to end creation and management of the maintenance workflow process. Develop, schedule, and prioritize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work orders for the plant's production and facility equipment. Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and maintenance team to align work order scheduling with production plans and downtime windows. Maintain the CMMS with accurate equipment records, work history, and PM schedules. Forecast parts and materials needed for upcoming maintenance work to ensure availability without overstocking. Track maintenance KPIs (PM compliance, work order backlog, downtime, MTTR/MTBF) and report trends to plant leadership. Support root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and help translate findings into planning adjustments. Assist in coordinating maintenance activities with outside contractors and vendors as needed. Support inventory accuracy for spare parts including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution as needed. Partner with Production Planning and Purchasing to help ensure MRO and production materials are available when needed.
Key Functional Skills/Knowledge Required:
2+ years of experience in maintenance planning or a related manufacturing role — food manufacturing strongly preferred. Experience with
ERP/CMMS
systems (NetSuite experience a plus). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Comfortable reading and interpreting data to support decision-making (spreadsheets, basic reporting/query tools). Clear communicator able to work effectively with maintenance technicians, production staff, and leadership. Ability to work on the plant floor and in an office/computer-based setting as needed.
