A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
Instructions:

It is normally easier to write the purpose/objective after you have completed other sections of the job description, especially after the duties and responsibilities have been outlined.- Contributes to the effective operation of the Maintenance Department by implementation, expansion, and upkeep of the Predictive Maintenance Program (PDM).
- Works in conjunction with Maintenance Manager to coordinate repairs on equipment as needed for the reduction of unplanned downtime.
- Track and manage spare part usage in the CMMS
- Unpacks, inventories, and stock items
- Performs a variety of complex troubleshooting duties involving refrigeration, electrical, mechanical or other specialized areas.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Instructions:

Implement, maintains, monitors, and updates the Maintenance CMMS to assure it is accurate and functional. 2. Works closely with Craftsmen and Tech's to assign Work Orders for work to be completed. 3. Works with Maintenance Manager to schedule time for needed for machine repairs prior to breakdowns to reduce unscheduled downtime. 4. Reporting- must be able to develop and present reports concerning the progression of the PDM Program.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Instructions:
Identify the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to perform the job competently. Make sure job specifications represent bona fide occupational qualifications.- Technical School/1 Year College, and/or 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred.
- Specialized skills required are computer programming, complex mechanical systems, trending reports, and excellent communication abilities.
