Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, thoughtful, and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our Senior Living Facility maintenance operations with energy and precision ensuring a safe environment for our senior residents and staff. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities across all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Your leadership will ensure that all facilities operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently, fostering a proactive maintenance culture that minimizes downtime and maximizes operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial maintenance, team management, and engineering troubleshooting to drive continuous improvement and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities Lead and manage facilities maintenance teams, providing clear direction, supervision, and motivation to ensure high performance and safety compliance. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with industry best practices and safety regulations such as OSHA standards. Oversee the scheduling and execution of preventive maintenance for mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing systems, and other critical infrastructure. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using troubleshooting tools. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs ensuring adherence to safety regulations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits, training sessions, and maintaining accurate safety documentation. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety incidents to support continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs such as HVAC system repair or plumbing system maintenance while ensuring quality standards are met. Promote a culture of safety awareness among team members through ongoing training on maintenance procedures and safety regulations. Experience Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams Extensive mechanical knowledge including HVAC system repair, electrical systems troubleshooting (low voltage included), plumbing system maintenance, and general mechanical systems repair. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Hands-on experience with engineering and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with OSHA standards related to industrial maintenance operations; ability to implement safety protocols effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage facilities maintenance teams effectively while fostering a safe work environment.
