Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Head of Maintenance to lead our hotel's facilities management team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. Your leadership will drive a proactive maintenance culture, ensuring safety compliance and facility excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex systems, implement innovative solutions, and foster a team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of hotel operations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, managing daily operations to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance across all hotel systems. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry best practices. Oversee the management of mechanical systems repair, HVAC system repair, electrical systems, plumbing system maintenance, and low voltage systems using schematics and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track asset history, and optimize maintenance workflows. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations through regular training sessions and safety audits. Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution, coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to support regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Monitor mechanical knowledge levels within the team, providing coaching on troubleshooting techniques with tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement by managing facilities maintenance teams effectively. Experience Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance within a hospitality or similar environment. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair—including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems—and industrial maintenance practices. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, engineering troubleshooting, and electrical experience including low voltage systems. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and maintenance management software such as CMMS platforms. Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing facilities maintenance teams and overseeing projects from start to finish. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes. Excellent leadership qualities paired with effective communication skills in English to motivate teams and coordinate with stakeholders effectively.
