Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Director to lead and oversee all aspects of facilities management within our organization. This pivotal role involves managing maintenance operations, supervising teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the integrity of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of industrial maintenance procedures. As a Facilities Maintenance Director, you will drive efficiency, uphold safety standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all facilities. Responsibilities Lead and manage facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repair, inspection, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment lifespan and reduce downtime. Oversee maintenance repair procedures, ensuring adherence to safety regulations such as OSHA standards and industry best practices. Supervise the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of complex mechanical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs by coordinating resources, scheduling tasks, and monitoring progress to meet organizational goals. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and equipment performance using Microsoft Office tools and CMMS software. Collaborate with management to develop budgets for maintenance operations while ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality. Requirements Proven management experience in facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance environments with a focus on team supervision and project management. Extensive mechanical knowledge including HVAC system repair, electrical systems troubleshooting (including low voltage), plumbing system maintenance and repair, and electrical experience. Strong understanding of safety regulations such as OSHA standards along with the ability to enforce compliance across teams. Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering troubleshooting documents, and using tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing. Experience managing facilities management software (CMMS) along with Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation purposes. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial control systems, low voltage wiring, and schematics is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members, vendors, and management.
