•$40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Manufacturing plant facilities maintenance experience Customer communication Teamwork Customer service Safety regulations Industrial mechanic experience English Ladder use Scissor lift Mechanical troubleshooting Time management Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Industrial Mechanic Manager to lead our industrial maintenance team and oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production machinery and equipment. The Maintenance Industrial Mechanic Manager will be responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating daily maintenance activities, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, managing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring that repairs and projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on leader with extensive industrial maintenance experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires someone who can lead by example while maintaining a high standard of safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise, lead, and coordinate daily activities of industrial maintenance mechanics and technicians Assign maintenance work and ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within established timeframes Perform and oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery and equipment Diagnose equipment failures and determine the appropriate corrective action Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve reliability Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimize production interruptions Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions and determine repair requirements Ensure maintenance work is performed in compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and all applicable safety standards Conduct or assist with safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training Ensure proper use of PPE, tools, equipment, lifts, ladders, and other safety equipment Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, parts, and equipment history using company software Identify required replacement parts, tools, and materials and maintain accurate inventory levels Coordinate with management, production personnel, customers, vendors, and other departments as needed Monitor maintenance projects and ensure work is completed according to schedule and quality expectations Assist with hiring, training, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of maintenance personnel Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance team members Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, equipment reliability, and cost reduction Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend long-term solutions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Ensure company vehicles, tools, equipment, and other assets are properly maintained Travel within the DFW area as required, with occasional travel elsewhere in the United States Perform hands-on maintenance work when needed and lead by example Qualifications & Experience 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; supervisory or management experience preferred Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience working with manufacturing or industrial production equipment Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a maintenance team Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and respond effectively to emergency situations Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred/required Physical & Working Requirements Flexible 24-hour schedule and availability to respond to maintenance emergencies when required Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and different shifts as needed Ability to lift and carry approximately 50-80 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours when required Ability to perform highly repetitive physical motions Ability to climb ladders and stairways Ability to safely operate or work from man lifts and scissor lifts at elevated heights using required safety equipment Ability to work in non-air-conditioned and potentially hazardous industrial environments Ability to work around machinery, moving equipment, electrical systems, noise, heat, dust, and other industrial conditions Must follow all required safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment Leadership Expectations The Maintenance Industrial Mechanic Manager is expected to: Lead by example and maintain a strong safety culture Hold team members accountable for quality, productivity, attendance, and safety Communicate clearly with employees, customers, and management Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations Encourage teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement Take ownership of maintenance issues from diagnosis through completion Help develop and mentor maintenance personnel Maintain a customer-focused approach while protecting company standards and resources Language Requirements English
