Opportunity:
Join our client, a leader in private-aviation services focused on the Learjet 60 fleet, as the Director of Maintenance (DOM) based in El Paso, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and enhance the maintenance organization, setting new standards in safety, reliability, and fleet performance. You'll be part of a team dedicated to delivering safe, dependable flights, with a culture built around ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead maintenance operations for Learjet 60/60XR fleet. Ensure aircraft airworthiness and regulatory compliance. Oversee hangar maintenance, avionics, Maintenance Control, and related operations. Establish and maintain clear maintenance standards and expectations. Improve aircraft availability, dispatch reliability, and maintenance turnaround times. Conduct root-cause analysis of recurring maintenance discrepancies. Implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Strengthen internal technical capabilities, particularly in avionics and troubleshooting. Collaborate with Flight Operations, Safety, vendors, and the FAA. Mentor and develop technicians and maintenance leaders. Monitor fleet performance and communicate maintenance priorities. Identify and manage operational and maintenance risks. Travel and respond to operational needs, including AOG events. Requirements FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required. Meet Director of Maintenance requirements under 14 CFR § 119.71. Significant aviation maintenance leadership experience in Part 135, Part 121, or similar operations. Strong technical judgment, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse aviation stakeholders.
