Job Description
Effectively provide day-to-day supervision of the Truck Shop department in coordination with the Live Haul Manager. Ensure that all work orders are completed timely and efficiently. Ensure that all vehicles in operation comply with DOT regulations as it pertains to maintaining and inspecting vehicles. This team consists of four employees including: 3 mechanics and 1 cage repair person. [Responsibilities and Tasks] Manage all employees and equipment involved with the truck shop Assign, complete, and inspect all work orders Be fair and consistent with all employees in performing their jobs Utilize D7i to order and maintain parts inventory Utilize D7i to track equipment units (trucks, trailers, loaders) Complete a daily roster report to track employee attendance. Manage employee performance and any related problems using the Company's Progressive Discipline Policy. Ensure all vehicles and equipment are in good and safe working condition. Ensure that inspections are completed timely and are in compliance with DOT regulations. Constant monitoring of the equipment and maintenance schedules. Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook and D7i. Must be able to read and write in English.
