Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead our diesel service department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive the success of our service team. Your leadership will foster a positive work environment, promote technical excellence, and maximize customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive repair, skilled in managing service processes, and dedicated to delivering outstanding results in a fast-paced dealership setting. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the service team, including technicians and service writers, to achieve operational goals and deliver top-tier customer experiences Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, and collision repairs Manage estimating processes using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software to ensure accurate and profitable job costing Upsell additional services and maintenance opportunities to customers while maintaining transparency and integrity Maintain high standards of automotive repair quality by ensuring technicians follow proper procedures for diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, alignments, and other specialized services Handle client communication effectively—explaining repair needs clearly, providing estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with company policies Requirements Proven experience in auto service management or dealership service departments with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair Hands-on mechanic experience with knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspension components, and diesel engine repairs Familiarity with estimating software and auto estimating tools for accurate job costing and invoicing Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients Demonstrated ability to upsell services ethically while maintaining customer trust Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in service writing, collision repair documentation, and client communication Join us to lead a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional automotive care. Pay:
$64,270.26 - $100,000.00 per year
