What they do
A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

- Detailed Description
- Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: + Assists the Associate Planners in releasing shop orders, checking for parts, tracking builds, ensuring timely shipment and working with manufacturing on issues.
- Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- + Basic knowledge of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, materials requirements planning techniques and manufacturing control systems + Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
- Physical Demands
- + Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. + Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. + Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
