Job Description

Service Manager The CanMan - 5.0 Rowlett, TX Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $85,000 a year 8 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Employee discount Qualifications Route driving Route planning Driver's License Math Cleaning Full Job Description Service Manager - Can Cleaning Division Tuesday-Saturday | Full-time | $60,000 base + monthly performance bonus — about $84,000 at target, more if you run hot You'll run our can cleaning division day to day: 3 days a week in a truck, 2 days managing the team and the numbers. You'll lead 3-4 route techs, control the schedule, and own whether the standard holds. What you'll do Run a route or cover one 3 days a week. When a tech is out, you're the truck.
Every morning:
stops remaining vs. hours remaining on every truck. Move work, resequence days, keep your techs off overtime.
Weekly:
run the team huddle, approve timecards, review every cancel and complaint, report a 5-number scorecard to manager.
Monthly:
review and sign off the route plan before it goes live, ride-alongs, one-on-ones with your techs.
Hold the standard:
checklists done, photos logged, trucks clean, customers taken care of. How you're measured Four numbers pay you, two keep you honest: Route completion % Field sign-ups (team total) Team driver safety score Customer rating average (rolling 90 days)
Gates:
checklist compliance and labor hours on budget — both green for full payout What you own — and what you don't You own the route map day to day, missed-stop recovery, customer saves, your techs' hours, schedules, and training. You don't own pricing, marketing, or our pest divisions. The office builds routes monthly; you review, adjust, and sign before they go live. After you sign, the month is yours. Who does well here You hold a standard even when it makes you unpopular You make your techs fix their own misses instead of quietly fixing them yourself You're fine with a week that looks the same every week — done right You make calls without waiting for permission, and you can show your math when asked You've led hourly field crews before: routes, trades, delivery, landscaping, military all count You can still do the physical work — full-size cans, Texas heat, all day This job is not A desk job. You're in a truck 3-4 days a week minimum. A stepping stone into sales or marketing. This seat is operations. For someone who needs daily direction. You get a scorecard and real authority.
